Iris Hexagon Quilt Block

This quilt block is my first shared work of a Foundation paper Pieced (FPP) Block. FPP allows a lot more flexibility in design, and in this case allows for clean lines that make the design. It’s one of my favorite piecing methods.

This pattern has 18 total subunits, that form 6 equilateral triangles, which finally form the Completes 16″ wide (from Flat side to flat side) Hexagon. The pattern contains some basic instructions for FPP, and I am currently having those tested on folks who have never attempted the skill. There are many many resources about FPP on youtube 🙂

Happy Quilting!
